Arts Integration and STEAM

RASA has been designed with a community responsive approach, innovative school facility design, and an Arts Integration and STEAM model of education. STEAM education is a cutting-edge approach to learning that goes beyond traditional educational boundaries. STEAM uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

What is STEAM?

An educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

STEAM thrives on hands-on learning experiences. Students don’t just memorize facts; they engage in experiments, design projects, and solve real-world problems. This not only makes learning more enjoyable, but also instills a deeper understanding of academic principles and concepts.

What is Arts Integration?

Though related, Arts Integration is distinct in that it is an approach to teaching and learning through which content is taught equitably in and through the arts. Grounded in aligned standards and assessment through a central topic, Arts Integration addresses the standards within the context of that topic.

As we embrace the future of education, RASA aims to pave the way for a new generation of innovative thinkers, problem solvers, and creative minds. By breaking down traditional systems and working with diverse concepts and philosophies, we prepare our students to tackle the challenges of an ever-changing world, and to really be the change they want to see in the world. Come join the RASA movement, where creativity meets critical thinking and the future is built by the brilliance of today.
